I love the simplicity of this drawing!

I love seeing the contrast of color right next to black and white. With these drawings, I was experimenting with creating the same drawing in both black and white and in color. I used charcoal and colored pencil.

I used chalk pastel to experiment with shadows as I drew this simple Mexican pot.

I have spent a lot of time drawing portraits, but decided it was time to try out the hard lines and repetitive detail of architecture. I loved it!

I have always thought that capturing this special time in a woman's life is so important.
